Software architect excelling in Unity3D/C# and C++ projects, he specializes in code generation that facilitates seamless integration between these languages. For more insights, refer to the SEVAS3D and SimROV projects.
In his role as a VR researcher and developer, he:
- Instructs the "Introduction to Virtual Reality" course at PUC-RIO.
- Orchestrated VRBoat, a groundbreaking VR research project centred on a boat simulator crafted in Unity, which can be experienced aboard a life-sized boat. He crafted meticulous research proposals and guidelines.
- Was the mastermind behind VRBoat's foundational architecture, optimizing various aspects, including ocean simulation, physics-based water interaction, and the threading model to meet Oculus' stringent 90 FPS benchmark.
- Played a significant role in the Olympic BMX project, later rebranded as SimBike (refer to publications), offering an entertainment-centric VR experience atop a real bicycle.
- Conceived and fabricated Arduino-based circuits to manipulate fan controls for wind feedback and capture additional user input during VR experiences.
- Developed a fully GPU-integrated animated crowd simulator and renderer specifically for Unity.
